It's always a wonderful time at Licanos. On this day I was in with a very large group for lunch and were seated in record time. Our servers were very nice and completed our requests with a smile. Thank you, Licanos. Service was amazing, and the food was too.
May 2026 Ordered the Fry bread taco. I expected less flavor but this was delicious. Wife ordered steak and it was cooked well and had great taste. Inlaws ordered enchiladas and they are them up. We'll definitely go back. 1999 Was very busy on a Friday lunch but service was still fast and food was delicious.
Nice place on the east side of town. The Fajitas were cooked just right and I was given a good amount of sour cream and avocados for my hot sizzling fajitas with fresh tortillas. Oh yes. They have chips and dip too! I think I'll eat here again when I am in Show Low. Me and my grandfather very much enjoyed ourselves here. A good place to eat.
Food is amazing!!! Staff very friendly and especially the ladies in the bar area, super busy and still so very kind and having a big smile on their faces hats off to the team in the bar service was A+
Pleasant place to grab a bite to eat. The decor was festive and inviting. There is a separate bar and restaurant area. The prices were a little pricey with one tamale a la carte being over five dollars and single taco being about the same. The salsa served with the chips and dip was very delicious! Portions were average sized.
I am all about tamales and I never have any good tamales at restaurants. But this place had some excellent tamales.
Staff is terrific. Huge selection of Mexican and American food, great bar and happy hour selections too!

So I took a chance with a Mexican Reasautamt American Steakhouse. Have to say I was impressed. I had the 12oz Prime Rib. Cooked to oerfection oerfection. It was about 2 inches thick. The au jus was hot and added a ton of flavor. Sat at the bar and the Cassidy was amazing. Friendly and I never had to wait for anything. The inside is a little dated but the service and food makes up for it. If you are in Show Low come by and get some good food.
Brooke provided excellent service, keeping the glasses full and did a good job of being friendly but not invasive. We ordered the fired zucchini sticks as an appetizer and they were super fresh at arrival to the table. She promised that the Camarones Al Ajo had some heat and they delivered, bringing a perfect amount of sweat to the experience. Adding a roasted jalapeno as I did may not have been necessary. Tails on the shrimp when served in such a spicy saucy delicious salsa were a bit of a complication, but when that's the worst part of the meal, it's quite overcome by the excellent flavor and fine quality, which was yet again outclassed by the level of service. Would definitely come here again, and next time try a steak to see if that is as masterfully prepared as my shrimps were.
